Hi, My cat has had diabetes for over 3 years now and he's 16 years old. I find that he's always getting UTI.. every 6 months or so I have to take him in. I love my cat, but it gets very expensive. Can anyone suggest ways to keep him from getting UTIs? Any tips would be appreciated!

Also--- he's recently decided to use my shag rug as his second litter box... he's never done that before!
